CORA 2024 - Conference on Robots and Automation

The third conference on the economic impact of robots and automation will take place on September 23th and 24th 2024, at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, Germany, in cooperation with the International Federation of Robotics (IFR). This conference aims to establish a platform for all economists working in the rapidly growing fields of robots, automation, and artificial intelligence. We also wish to provide a forum for discussion between data users and the main data provider in this field.

A keynote speech will be held by Guy Michaels (London School of Economics).

Researchers from all fields of economics are invited to present new research results and discuss possible directions for future research activities. We welcome the submission of papers with an empirical, theoretical, and/or policy orientation focusing on micro- or macroeconomic aspects of robots, automation, and artificial intelligence. We also encourage PhD students with work-in-progress to submit proposals for a poster session.

Please submit (in pdf format) an extended abstract of your paper (approx. 800 words), the complete paper or your poster proposal (max. 500 words) along with a cover letter including paper title, name(s) of the author(s), affiliation as well as the email address of the presenting author to cora[at]wiwi.uni-frankfurt[dot]de.

Submission deadline is June 3rd, 2024.  Accepted authors will be notified by July 1st, and completed papers are expected no later than August1st, 2023.

Registration deadline for participation for presenting attendees is August 1st, 2024. By that day, a participation fee of €200 will be due. It includes workshop materials, coffee breaks and refreshments during the workshop, and a conference dinner. It is possible to attend the conference without presenting a paper.
