Welcome to the Chair of Human Resource Management
Our research concerns mainly questions of organizational design and human resource management. Current projects include formal theories as well as empirical projects. We investigate the optimal design of careers, such as promotion and up-or-out rules; communication structures in organizations; team governance, and resource allocation. We also work with unique data sets from a variety of corporate partners, for instance in the field of multi-task incentive designs and the impact of social interactions on efficiency. A second field of interest concerns the question how institutions shape important economic factors such as human capital accumulation or the implementation of infrastructure projects.
