Thomas Starck is a doctoral candidate at Goethe University Frankfurt, supervised by Prof. Dr. Lars Schweizer. His research focuses on the value added by external advisors in acquisition outcomes, as part of projects funded by the Institute of Management and Strategy at the Chair of Prof. Dr. Dr. Tomi Laamanen.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (Netherlands), a Master of Science in Finance from Grenoble École de Management (France), and a Master of Laws in Business Law and Tax Management from EDHEC Business School (France).

Before transitioning to research, Thomas gained practical experience through multiple internships in finance, controlling, and M&A across Switzerland, France, and China.
