Hong Linh Nguyen, Ph.D.

About

Hong Linh Nguyen is a Team Lead in Change Management within the Investment Division at DWS Group in Frankfurt am Main and a lecturer at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. She studied Business Administration at the University of Cologne and holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. She completed her Ph.D. in Sustainable Strategic Management at HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, complemented by research stays as a Visiting Ph.D. Fellow at the MIT Sloan School of Management and as a Cross-Registered Fellow at Harvard University.

Her professional background includes demanding roles in the financial and investment industry, with positions at Deutsche Börse AG, Bayer Business Services, and DWS Group, where she worked in various finance and investment-related functions. In her current role, she is responsible for strategic change initiatives, governance processes, and cross-functional collaboration within a dynamic regulatory environment.

She has strengthened her teaching expertise through academic teaching engagements in Germany and the United States as well as a teaching certificate from the MIT Teaching + Learning Lab. She currently teaches Financial Management at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences.

Her research focuses on strategic management, corporate sustainability, innovation management, family firms, and the role of artificial intelligence in strategic processes. She has published in the Harvard Business Review, the Journal of Family Business Management, and edited volumes on innovation management, and has presented her work at international academic conferences.
