FAQ BACHELOR'S THESES

Thematic focus:
Innovation in the broad sense and entrepreneurship. We usually provide topic suggestions, but are also open to topic suggestions from students, provided they can be completed within ten weeks.

Methodology:
We primarily supervise empirical work. Knowledge of STATA/R is an advantage, but we have found that students can also acquire this knowledge well during the thesis period.

Language:
The bachelor's theses supervised by the Chair of Innovation and Entrepreneurship are mainly written in English, which we strongly recommend. However, German would also be possible in principle.

Application (for students of Faculty 02):
Students of Faculty 02 apply for a place to supervise a bachelor's thesis via the QIS placement allocation procedure.
If you do not obtain a place via the QIS placement allocation procedure, you can also send us a speculative application (with a short letter of motivation, resume, and transcript of grades) by email. Whether your bachelor's thesis can be supervised at our department outside of the QIS placement procedure depends on the workload of the research assistants.

Supervision:
Bachelor's theses are supervised by the research assistants of the professorship. Individual appointments are arranged. There are no interim presentations, etc.
