Welcome to the Chair of Industrial Organization

The team focuses on all topics regarding industrial organization which means the analysis of markets and industries. Special emphasis belongs to the analysis of corporate strategies in a competitive environment: price strategies, product differentiation, research and development, or advertising strategies.
The aim of industrial organization as an integral part of micoeconomics is essentially to analyse markets with imperfect competition. Areas of application are telecommunication, software, automotive, or the airline industry. A further main part of industrial organization is the analysis of the organizations, their optimal size and hence the topic of mergers & acquisitions.

The chair of Industrial Organization is part of department "Management and Applied Microeconomics" at Goethe-University Frankfurt.
