The University and the Faculty actively support and encourage the international mobility of students, lecturers and researchers. This is reflected in the international atmosphere highly evident on campus and within the Faculty of Economics and Business itself. Studies

In Frankfurt you study in the geographic center and financial heart of Continental Europe. You have unique opportunities for interaction with practitioners, e.g. due to guest lectures that are offered by different companies at our faculty. Excellent scientific education is combined with practice-related education and training.

The Faculty of Economics and Business is in terms of student numbers one of the largest in this field in Germany. More than 5.500 students, among them around 1200 international students, study here. The Faculty offers two Bachelor and six Master Programs and an additional interdisciplinary Master Program. In the graduate as well as the undergraduate programs there is an array of courses offered in English.

A variety of student organizations and initiatives offer the chance to apply theoretical knowledge into practice and to develop new contacts and meet interesting people. The most important questions about the studies are answered in an FAQ document, which can be used as a first guide to your stay here at the university.

Location

Frankfurt am Main is a financial and service center of global importance and, as the economic center of the dynamic Rhine-Main, is also one of the leading locations for companies in Europe. Frankfurt’s central location, its internationality, numerous jobs as well as its excellent infrastructure with one of the world's most important international airports, supports the city’s attractiveness. Frankfurt is the location of around 300 national and international banks, including the German Central Bank, the European Central Bank, and the German Stock Exchange Group.

But Frankfurt is not only a business city: it is also the city of Goethe, the location of the annual book fair and the location of the German National Library. It enjoys an excellent reputation at national and international levels as a cultural center. Numerous museums, art galleries, theaters and cinemas are located at the “Main” riverbank and in the city center and you can find countless other attractions, like the “Old Opera”.

Frankfurt is a global and international city, located in the heart of Europe. Among the approximately 750 000 inhabitants, nearly 30% are foreign citizens. Its cosmopolitan environment makes it easy for newcomers to settle down and make new friends.

In addition, Frankfurt has beautiful surroundings with unique recreational opportunities: whether hiking in the “Taunus Mountains”, a visit to the “Odenwald” or a trip to the wine region “Rheingau” - there is something for everyone.
